Energy use in low-income households

1995-1999, Client: Agency for Cultural & Policy Research, South Africa: Managed and implemented government commissioned project focusing on patterns of energy use in low-income households. Project included four different housing types, examining issues such as gender, community politics, energy efficiency, thermal efficiency of housing types, fuel supply & constraints, demands issues, fuel costs, etc. Worked with community structures, conducted numerous community workshops, forums and surveys, determined and implemented interventions as well as initiating energy-efficiency, safety and health campaigns.
