2015, Client: UNDP, Botswana: Undertook the terminal evaluation of the GEF-UNDP “Renewable energy-based rural electrification programme” in Botswana.

2015, Client:Bokpoort (SA),  Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO):Robert was sub-contracted as local consultant for the Evaluability assessment of the Bokpoort CSP project in South Africa, for the Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO).

2011-2014, Client: Millennium Challenge Corporation (USA), Tanzania: Supervision Consultant; Robert supervised the implementation of the Kigoma PV programme in the Kigoma Region, Tanzania. The programme is aimed at stimulating a PV economy in the region through a base-load of PV installations while developing the retail infrastructure, household marketing and fishing communities. The client is Millennium Challenge Corporation (USA).

2013-2015, Client: Restio Energy, Planet Finance, The Business Place, South Africa: Involved in the development and operationalization of the EnerGcare programme, a joint initiative involving Restio Energy, PlaNet Finance and The Business Place aimed at promoting access to clean energy technologies in low-income markets through developing appropriate retail and distribution infrastructure

2013-2015, Client: NuRA, South Africa: Robert supported FRES (Foundation Rural Energy Services) undertake a socio-economic impact assessment of the Nuon-RAPS Utility company in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. NuRa is an off-grid utility company offering SHS to unelectrified households within concession areas.

2012, Client: UNDP, Thailand: International Consultant on a UNDP project in Thailand focused on promoting renewable energy in Mae Hong Son province.  The project is designed to overcome barriers (access to finance, technology, awareness & policy) to increasing use of renewable energy in Thailand. Responsible for leading the mid-term evaluation of the programme.
