2009, Client: REEEP, Kampala, Uganda: The Integrated Rural Energy Utility (IREU) project. A project funded by REEEP reviews a more integrated approach to energy service delivery in rural areas. There are many challenges to delivering effective services (energy and other) in rural areas. The project reviews the costs, benefits and opportunities in developing more integrated approaches to energy service delivery. While the concept is universal, the locations for the assessment include Uganda, Tanzania and South Africa.
