Restio Energy was contracted by GTZ, the German development organisation, to manage the succesful introduction of efficient biomass stoves to the South African off-grid market. Currently, Restio has been working in partnership with the Nuon-Raps off-grid concession utility in Northern Kwazulu-Natal on setting up a distribution framework, conducting appropriate marketing, securing local government buy-in and testing stove performance.
